SMOKED CAPSICUM AND ONION HOME MADE PIZZA


This is a recipe of homemade pizza with smoky flavor of roasted capsicum and onion. I am not using usual tomato or pizza sauce. Only few ingredients are required to make this tasty dish for your dinner.

Preparation Time: 20 to 30 minutes
Cooking time – 25 minutes
Serve for - 6 persons

INGREDIENTS FOR PIZA BASE


  All purpose flour – 4 large cups full
  Dried yeast – 2 tbsp
  Milk – 1 large cup
  Lukewarm water – 1 cup
  Sugar - 3 tbsp
  Salt to taste
  Refined oil – 2 tbsp



INGREDIENTS FOR TOPPING


  Green capsicum (bell pepper) or red capsicum - 100 gm
  Small onion – 200gm
  Egg – 2 (optional)
  Mixed herb – 1 tsp
  Dry parsley – 2 tbsp
  Olive oil – 4 tbsp
  Mozzarella cheese (grated) – 250 gm
  Salt & pepper to taste

PROCESS

Mix lukewarm water with sugar
Add yeast in the water, shake and cover for 20 minutes
Should leave in a warm place so it can swell
Heat the milk to make it luck warm
Now mix flour with salt and oil
Add the frothy yeast mixture and milk
Knead well to make a smooth dough
Brush oil and leave the dough for 1 hour in a warm place
Heat a pan, add capsicum and onion
Roast until skin becomes evenly burnt with black spots
Peel and wash, now chop into small pieces
Take the dough , roll out in a rectangular shape
Brush oil ,top with grated cheese , capsicum, onion, salt and pepper
Sprinkle herbs and parsley
Make 2 egg poaches and place over the top of pizza
Sprinkle herbs again and transfer the pizza to grill tray at 200 degree C for 15 minutes
Golden and crispy pizza is ready now , serve hot
