PORK STROGANOFF - AN EXCLUSIVE RUSSIAN DISH


Stroganoff is a popular dish of Russia. There are lots of variation of this dish, veg foodie might use vegetables like potatoes or cauliflower as a substitute of pork meat, even chicken can be used alternatively.

PREPARATION TIME = 10 MINUTES
COOKING TIME = 20 TO 30 MINUTES
SERVED = 4 PERSONS

INGREDIENT


Pork chop - 500 gm
Pasta - 1 cup ( long size)
Shallot ( onion) - chopped 1 cup
Kosher salt to taste
Cremini mushroom - 1 cup
Sour cream - 3 tbsp
Potato cut into long finger shaped pieces - half cup
Garlic powder - 2 tsp
Mixed herbs - 1 tsp
Refine oil or cooking butter -2 tbsp
Milk - 1 cup
Paprika powder - 2 tsp

PROCESS

Add pasta with salted boiled water, add pasta and cook about 5 minutes or as instructed in the label.
Drain and keep pasta aside, heat butter or oil in pan in low flame, add chopped onion to fry.
Fry onions until light golden color appears, add mushrooms and potatoes with little salt in high heat.
Mushrooms leave water soon, cook until water dries off, add pork chop and garlic powder along with paprika powder and cover it. Then simmer to soften the meat, after 5 minutes add milk and high the flame.
When pork chops become tender, milk dried up, add sour cream, stirring constantly, add herbs.
Transfer the pork mixture at the top of the noodles bed, decorate with sour cream and chopped mint leaves.
