TOFU IN TOMATO SAUCE


In Vietnamese recipes, the use of coconut milk is very common. The flavors of dishes are light and not very spicy.

INGREDIENT FOR TOFU


Tofu 500 gm cut into square pieces
Ground black pepper 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil 5 tbsp

INGREDIENT FOR TOMATO SAUCE

Tomato 5 pieces
Garlic paste 1 tsp
Coconut cream ( 1 cup coconut milk +1 cup fresh cream)
Chili flakes 1 tsp
Plane flour ½ tsp
Sugar 2 tsp
Salt to taste

PROCESS

Marinate tofu with salt and pepper
In a pan, heat 1 tsp oil and add tomatoes when the skins become brown in both side, remove from the heat and peel out the tomatoes, chopped and make a fine tomato paste in blender
Heat the remaining oil in a frying pan
Lightly fry the tofu and keep aside
In that same oil add garlic paste and fry
Add tomato paste and chili flakes, stir occasionally
When the raw flavor of tomatoes will be gone, add coconut cream and flour
Add salt and sugar, stir constantly
Make a medium thick sauce
Pour the sauce over the tofu and serve hot, you can garnish with spring onion
