BISHNU BHOG - An Easy Indian Sweet Recipe


It is a sweet mango dish, offered to God in specific occasions.

INGREDIENT

Gobindo bhog rice ½ cup
Sweet mango juice 2cups
Milk 2 cups
Nutmeg powder ½ tbsp
Ghee 2 tbsp
Palm jaggery crushed 100gm

INGREDIENT FOR TEMPERING

Clove 2
Cardamom 3
Cinnamon stick 1

PROCESS

Clean the rice
Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pot, add the ingredients of tempering
Add rice and mix well
Add milk and 1 cup water, stir constantly
When the rice become tender, add mango juice and jaggery, cook for 5 minutes, stir constantly
When the whole preparation become dry, add nutmeg powder
Served chiled
