ORANGE PUDDING - DESSERT RECIPE CONTINENTAL STYLE


This mouth watering dessert is made with fresh oranges and without eggs. It is specifically prepared for vegetarian. Here, ginger is used to add a special flavor. It is a moist pudding, served with ginger and orange sauce.

This exclusive dessert recipe can be prepared for christman and childrens will like this dish very much.

PREPARATION TIME - 5 MINUTES
COOKING TIME - 30 MINUTES
SERVE AS - 4 PERSONS

INGREDIENTS

Condensed milk or milk maid - 1 large cup
All purpose flour - 1 medium cup
Chopped orange - 1 medium cup
Sugar - 5 tbsp
Soda bi carbonate - 1 pinch
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Water - 1 cup
Unsalted butter - 40 gm


INGREDIENT FOR SAUCE

Chopped ginger - 1 tsp
Brown sugar - 4 tbsp
Salt 1 pinch
Fresh cream - 1 small cup
Corn flour or flour - 1 tbsp

PROCESS

Preheat oven for 150 degree C. Place chopped oranges with 1 cup water and soda bicarbonate in a sauce pan.
Cook for 5 minutes, simmer the heat.
Transfer half part of the ingredients in another pan.
In the first part, add sugar and let the oranges melt, use a spoon to mash well, when the mixture will be little dry, turn off heat.
Shift flour with baking powder, mix with orange sauce.
Beat condensed milk and butter to make a smooth mixture, pour orange sauce.
Beat again, in this stage you can add warm water or 4 or 5 tbsp milk to have aureate dropping consistency.
Pour mixture into small moulds or small bowls, bake for 30 minutes in a pre heat oven on 150 degree C, brush oil in each mould before placing the mixture.
Now place the 2nd part of orange mixture on low heat to make sauce.
Add brown sugar, ginger and cook for 5 minutes, strain the mixture, add cream and corn flour, again transfer to the gas oven, simmer and cook until dissolved and sauce becomes thick.
Remove from heat, Take out pudding on a serving plate, prick and pour warm sauce, let it cool, keeep it in refrigerator or serve warm according to your choice.
Decorate with cinnamon sticks, powder and mint leaves.
