This recipe is adopted from my mother in law. I have made little variation in it. This dish is made of seasonal peas which provide vitamin e to your body.

Must try this, it is an exceptional, green colored dessert for your guests.


Fresh green peas – 500 gm
Milk – 500 gm ( you can use fat free, double toned milk)
Sugar – 2 cups ( diabetic patients can use sugar free powder)
Cinnamon powder – 1 tsp, for decoration chopped almond and khoya kheer (whole milk) grated


Add milk in a heavy bottom pan and bring to boil, stir periodically until the amount of the milk becomes 1/3
Add Cinnamon powder to the milk and keep aside
In another pan add 3 cups water and bring to boil
Add peas and cook for 10 minutes
Peas will be soft and water becomes condensed
When the water will be dry almost, remove from fire
Mash the peas roughly by a serving spoon, pour the milk over it, you can sprinkle chopped almonds or khoya kheer grated over it
Let it come in room temperature
Keep in freezer for 1 to 2 hours
Your dessert is ready to serve
