BEST INDIAN PAKORA RECIPES


In this rainy season; enjoy some Indian style crispy pakoras with a cup of tea.

CHEESE AND ONION PAKORA

INGREDIENTS

Large size onions – 300gm
Grated cheese – ½ cup
Chopped green chili -2 or 3
Chick flour (beson) – 2 large cups
Salt to taste
Water as required
Oil for frying

PROCESS

Chopped onions, add onions with flour
Mix salt, chili, cheese with flour
Add water with flour to make a thick batter
Heat oil in a pan, pick up one tbsp full batter and transfer into oil
It will take 3 to 5 minutes for a crispy fry, make 10 -12 pakoras
Radish light brown color indicates your pakoras are ready to serve
Serve with chat masala

GRAM (DAL) PAKORA

INGREDIENTS

Lentil (masur dal) – 1 large cup
Chopped ginger- 1 tsp
Black cumin seeds – ½ tsp
Chopped onion – 1 tbsp
Crushed peanut – 2 tbsp
Chick pea flour – 1 large cup
Red chili powder - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for fry

PROCESS

Sock lentil with water for 5 to 6 hours
Drain out water and transfer lentil into a blender
Roughly blend and mix salt
Mix all other ingredients except oil
Heat oil in a pan, pick up one tbsp full batter and transfer into oil
It will take 3 to 5 minutes for a crispy fry, make 10 -12 pakoras
Serve with tomato sauce

CRISPY BABY CORN PAKORA

INGREDIENTS

Boiled baby corn – 10 pieces
Corn flour – 1 large cup
Garlic paste – 1 tsp
Egg – 1
Tomato sauce – 2 tbsp
Chili powder – 1 tsp (you can use chopped green chili)
Baking soda – ½ tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for fry

PROCESS

Combine all ingredients except oil
Heat oil in a pan, pick up one tbsp full mixture and pour into oil
It will take 5 minutes for a crispy fry, make 10 pakoras
Serve with any favorite sauce

CABBAGE PAKORA

INGREDIENTS

Finely chopped cabbage – 3 large cups
Chick pea flour – 2 cups
Chopped ginger – 1 tbsp
Chopped chili – 1 tbsp
Cumin powder- 1 tsp
Coriander powder – ½ tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for fry

PROCESS

Combine all ingredients except oil
Heat oil in a pan, pick up one tbsp full mixture and pour into oil
It will take 5 minutes for a crispy fry, make 10 pakoras
Crispy pakora will be ready in 10 minutes

POTATO AND GREEN MANGO PAKORA

INGREDIENTS

Potato – 3 large
Finely chopped green mango – ½ cupsbr /> Chopped ginger – 1 tbsp
Chili flakes – 2 tsp
Chick pea flour – 2 large cups
Salt to taste
Oil for fry

PROCESS

Cut potatoes in a thin finger shape
Marinate mangoes with salt and keep for 1 hour
Squeeze to remove water from mangoes
Combine all ingredients except oil
Heat oil in a pan, pick up one tbsp full mixture and transfer into oil
Crispy pakora wiil be ready in 10 minutes
