DHAKAI CHICKEN ROAST


A roasted chicken preparation with banana leaves, inspired by the style of paturi. It is a hot and dry dish adopted from Bangladeshi cuisine. The recipe can be prepared easily and quickly with minimum ingredients.

PREPARATION TIME – 20 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 20 MINUTES
SERVE FOR 4 PERSONS

INGREDIENTS

Small size chicken pieces - 400 gm
Onion big size - 2 chopped
Ginger & garlic paste - 2 tsp
Red chili paste - 1 tsp
Black cumin and 8 black pepper paste - 1 tsp
Mustard oil - 1 small cup
Banana leaves - 2
Mint leaves - 2 tsp full chopped
Salt to taste

PROCESS



Marinating chicken with all ingredients except banana leaves.
Take a flat pan or frying pan, cover the top with banana leaves.
Pour the chicken with marinating juice, keep on low flame, cover with another banana leave.
Leave for 20 to 30 minutes, serve with hot steamed rice.
